Excelomatics Club

“Mathematics is the most beautiful and most powerful creation of the human spirit.” — Stefan Banach

Excelomatics Clubs are social occasions and play an important role in building positive relationships between teachers and children. They are opportunities to showcase our Math champions and help children become maths catalysts and maths ambassadors themselves.

The students of Class I made a Rubik’s cube during their online session. They made eight cubes of the same size and coloured each side with a different colour. They were asked to attach the cubes in a certain way with cello tape. It was attached in such a way that it could move freely. The students were amazed to see a Rubik’s cube made with paper.

Math Art Project is a great STEAM activity for kids to do at home and especially in the classroom, where kids working together can craft a huge fractal. Students of Class II and III built a Sierpiński triangle fractal. Fractal is a mathematically generated pattern in which self-similar shapes are repeated across different scales. In layman’s terms, the same shape is repeated in different sizes to infinity.

Such activities enlighten and brighten the student’s math skills and enhance their curiosity and interest towards learning mathematics. The session was extremely engaging and fun for all our students.
