“They err who thinks Santa Claus comes down through the chimney; he really enters through the heart.” – Paul M Ell
Excelomatics Clubs are social occasions and play an important role in building positive relationships between teachers and students. They are opportunities to showcase maths champions and help them become maths catalysts and maths ambassadors themselves. As the season of Christmas is upon us, our students experimented with shapes to make Santa Claus.
Students of Class I, during the Excelomatics Club made Santa Claus using colourful papers, cut into different shapes like triangle, square, rectangle, circle and they also used ice-cream sticks. The model not only helped students understand and learn different shapes, but also would help them while decorating their houses. Students enjoyed a lot during their class. While the students of Class II and III also made Santa Claus by using a square cut out, paper and cotton. They made Santa by folding the paper and his beard using cotton. The kids had a very insightful session while they did origami as they got to learn about shapes while they could explore their creativity.
