“History is the essence of innumerable biographies.” ― Thomas Carlyle
A biography provides inspiration. Reading about real-life stories of successful or remarkable people often influences, motivates or encourages. As students learn about the challenges that others have overcome, they build a connection to their own life.
Under the topic of Great Indians, children learnt about the life story of “APJ Abdul Kalam”. A small video about APJ Abdul Kalam was shown to the children. Facts about the topic were shared by the teacher. A small activity was done to enhance the imagination of the kids. They imagined themselves as if they were in space and drew what all they could observe through their vivid imagination. It was an interactive way to involve children to think beyond and to encourage them to test their limits of life and imagination and help them become someone who makes their country proud.
