“Acting is not about being someone different. It’s finding the similarity in what is apparently different, then finding myself in there.” – Meryl Streep
The Mask club students of Class I, II and III showcased their talent by acting as some of the Mythology Characters of India and Greece. Children performed prominent characters such as Sita, Ravan, Shiva, Sai Baba, Greek Goddess etc. The children were not only dressed up as the characters but also did an excellent job by using props to get into the characters better. They delivered dialogues, facial expressions and body movements.
They also learnt about the background of that particular character and surprised their teachers with what they have learnt from them. They were also taught some acting techniques by their teacher for them to learn the basic elements that are needed to play a character. The children had learnt values along with the facts about acting which made the session more performance-oriented.
