IIM CASE STUDY

Excelomatics Club

“Pure mathematics is, in its way, the poetry of logical ideas.” ~ Albert Einstein

Excelomatics club develops children’s knowledge and understanding of maths. It provides children with opportunities to try new things. It also helps children apply their maths skills to other ‘real-life’ maths investigations.

During the club class, children solved number puzzles that helped them grasp diverse mathematical concepts and also develop strategic thinking. They allow children to work at their own level and improve learning. The kids of Class I enjoyed adding up numbers to sum up to 15 (2 addends, 3 addends, 4 addends) they added horizontally, vertically and diagonally whereas the kids of Class II and III solved brain teasers. These brain puzzles will entertain students while developing crucial skills like problem-solving, decoding patterns, number sense, shape and pattern recognition.

On the whole, the students got to learn and explore new math problems and their solutions which eventually enhanced their numeracy skills and improved their problem-solving abilities.
