“A wise person should have money in their head, but not in their heart.” – Jonathan Swift
Money is the medium of exchange that is used to pay for things or services we need. Currency is a word used for money. It has different names in different countries. Money comes in different shapes and sizes. It comes in metal (coins) and in paper (notes) form.
To understand the much used concept of money our little SAIoneers of Class I did some activities. The activities included drawing notes and coins, writing the total amount for change given and drawing change (notes and coins) for the given amount.
Kids displayed their own shop and enacted a selling-buying process with their family members. The children learnt about different denominations of notes and coins available in Indian currency. This activity enhanced their logical, interpersonal and social skills.
