“The best way of learning about anything is by doing.” – Richard Branson
The Spectrum club members of Class I conducted an experiment to understand temperature during their club class held on Saturday, September 26, 2020. Amount of heat generated by an object (living/ non living) is called the temperature of that object. The members learnt that the mercury present in a thermometer tends to rise when the temperature is on the higher side and decreases when temperature is on the lower side. They demonstrated the experiment through the help of a thermometer, warm water and cold water. Kids enjoyed it to the fullest.
The Classes II and III members learnt many things about Volcano during their club classes. A volcano is a landform, usually a mountain, where molten rock which is also known as magma, lava, volcanic ash, and gases erupt through the surface of the planet. A volcanic eruption occurs when magma is released from a volcano.
The members learnt to prepare lemon volcano. They also learnt that citric acid from lemon reacts with baking soda, thus producing carbon dioxide which causes fizz and bubble. They enjoyed thoroughly and had great fun while preparing volcano by using play dough. In the highly interactive session, the members also discussed the damages caused by the volcano.
