Children love to travel and explore new places, which makes it imperative for them to know about various modes of transport. Depending on the destination, myriad of vehicles is available that takes one to their desired location.
People travelling for a short distance prefer land transport and people travelling far go by air. Some people love to travel by water depending on the place and especially while visiting an island.
There is more to just learning about various means of transport, it’s also important to learn to express the action of using the different transportation systems. Keeping this in view, a fun transport activity was organised for students of Play Group. Road, water and sky was drawn on the floor. Different vehicles were kept aside and students were asked to match the vehicles with their mode of transportation.
This activity enhanced their visual, naturalistic, linguistic, kinaesthetic and inter/intra personal skills.
