“First they ignore you, then they laugh at you, then they fight with you, then you win.” – Mahatma Gandhi.
On the occasion of the 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, the students of Class II tried to awaken our social responsibilities to fulfil Gandhiji’s vision of a better India. During the assembly the children recited as well as enacted a heart touching poem “Come again”, written by Ramesh Makwana. They invited Gandhiji to come back and help us in solving the problem to make India a better place.
The poem goes like
” O, Teacher of truth and non-violence
You loved peace and patience
Taught unity, honesty and equality
Loved cleanliness and simplicity………………………………………
Through this poem, children were made aware of the values of Gandhiji
