Activity-based learning encourages children to take responsibility of their own learning experience. Group-based activity helps students develop teamwork and social skills, which are very essential for the progress of a child.
Students of Class II had an amazing experience of learning about the topic-Measurement of weight (Non-standard method). It helped children to understand whether an object weighs heavier or lighter.
The students were divided into groups of two each. Each team was given few colour pencils and erasers and they were asked to measure the object by putting as many as colour pencils against the object. In this way they got the experience of measuring weight through non-standard methods.
Children were excited and they enjoyed the activity and were clear about the concept. They got the experience of measuring weight through non-standard methods.
