“India is the cradle of the human race, the birthplace of human speech, the mother of history, the grandmother of legend and the great grandmother of tradition.”– Mark Twain.
India is home to many languages. Around 19,569 different dialects are spoken all across the country. The diversity and the large number of the languages and dialects makes India unique in the world.
To help the students of Class III understand about the different languages spoken in different regions of the country, an interesting activity was conducted. Children learnt about the languages spoken in each state and in different regions.
Before the activity was conducted clear instructions were given to the students. They were divided into 5-6 groups and each group were given map of India. The students were shown the map of our country on the projector to show the different regions (North South, East and West). This helped them to learn and mark the directions, languages, along with their states in bold letters.
