“Play is our brain’s favourite way of learning”. – Diane Ackerman
Play is a way through which children learn about themselves and the world. It enables children to use their creativity simultaneously it helps in developing their imagination, dexterity, and physical, cognitive, and emotional strength. The imagination and social skills of children thrive when they play with toys, playhouses, blocks, moulds of animals or in a playground.
The students of KG II were taken to the playground for playing, where their happiness seem to have no boundaries. They enjoyed a lot with their peers sliding, swinging, running, climbing all around the ground. These activities help in developing body movement, strength, flexibility and team co-ordination skills. Games also help a child to understand and develop patience, sharing and incorporate social development and teach them the rules of games and about the importance of fair play. Playing also allows children to relax, encourages to develop their imagination, motor skills and teaches self-expression.
