Learning to Dance

“When you dance, your purpose is not to get to a certain place on the floor. It’s to enjoy each step along the way.” – Wayne Dyer

Children have their natural musical instincts, they love to sing, dance and perform freely. Dance teaches a lot of skills to children like teamwork, focus, improvisational skills, right body posture etc. It also helps them to express and communicate their ideas thereby enhancing their self-esteem and independent thinking.

To enhance the power of togetherness, SAI Angan celebrates its Annual function as “SAI Confluence”. It is an event where all the students of Nursery from each section join together to present an act through dance. These qualitative interactions where a group of students work together, learning their steps and synchronizing it with the rhythm of music is a great learning experience. This allows students to imitate sounds and movements easily and help them to gain an overview of the theoretical understanding of specific musical elements.

The learning, the fumbles and triumph creates a strong bond between the students which makes learning in the school an exuberant one, enhancing their inter-personal and intra-personal as well as kinesthetic skills.
