The innocence, the mischiefs, the games, the fights….Do you miss being the little kid who could play, jump, sing out loud or dance in the rain??? Most of us do this. Most of us miss being a kid. So, all of us understand how wonderful it is to be a child. And all of us also realize the importance of childhood.
In India, Children’s Day is celebrated on 14th November, in the honour of Pt. Jawaharlal Nehru, who was a great leader and the first prime minister of India. He worked fervently for the welfare of children and the youth soon after independence. He was passionate about welfare, education, and development of children in India. Pt. Nehru was very fond of children and thus became popular as Chacha Nehru among his young admirers.
To commemorate the day and create awareness among the students about the importance of the day, a string of activities were conducted. Teachers conducted the Special Assembly along with entertaining the students with a group dance. Later on, they were treated with bhelpuris and chocolates. Teachers left no stones unturned to make the day memorable for the students, who enjoyed it to the fullest.
