Trip to KALA BHOOMI- ODISHA CRAFTS VILLAGE

“It is better to see something once than to hear about it a thousand times.”

Trips provide experiential knowledge to the students by observation. Monthly trips are an integral part of SAI International curriculum. Students of class II visited KALA BHOOMI- ODISHA CRAFTS MUSEUM on November 9, 2018 to. It is the only state-owned museum in Eastern India that celebrates the multi faceted, rich and vibrant traditions of handloom and handicraft of the state. As the students entered the museum, there were led by guides to explain things to them. The variety of things and the environment was enough to arouse the interest of young mind. They were too excited to see the Terracotta Gallery, Traditional Painting Gallery, Stone and Wood Carving Gallery, Natural material crafts Gallery, Pre-weaving techniques Gallery, Tribal Crafts Gallery and the Handlooms Gallery. The guides were not only leading the students to different places but also were explaining the details of that place to the young minds. Students enjoyed each and every minute they spent during the trip. With such fulfilling experience they always look forward for such trips……
