The energising Puja vacation has pepped up the students and they look more fresh, more motivated and more cheerful. To create awareness on the usefulness of Simple machines used in our daily life, students of KG II were introduced to a topic ‘Simple Machine’.

An activity was conducted where students were divided in to three groups. The 1st group was instructed to eat the banana pieces without using their hands. The 2nd group was asked to cut the bread slices into even pieces with their hands and the 3rd group was asked to make holes in the given sheets of paper and tie a ribbon on it.

After each group had achieved the given tasks the teacher displayed the simple machines on the table and asked each group to select the appropriate machine to complete the task. Through this activity the children learnt about the usefulness of the simple machines in their lives. The activity also opened up their minds to appreciate and acknowledge such machines.  This activity helped enhance the kinesthetic, fine motor and logical skills of the students.
