“I’m very happy being me, although sometimes I’d love to be a bird so that I could fly.” – Joy Fielding
Children are very happy being themselves, although sometimes they love to imagine themselves in different characters and get immersed in their own world of fantasy. Sometimes they imagine themselves to be their favourite animal or bird and fly around like them.
Today the little children of Play Group came to know about various types of birds and their characteristics. They specifically learnt about parrot, it’s colour and it’s characteristic features. An activity was conducted where students were given parrot cut-outs and poster colours of green and red.
Students had a great time doing finger printing on the cut-outs. It was green for the body and red for the beak. They thoroughly enjoyed the activity. After the activity they all flew like parrots and made sounds like the parrot creating a fun-filled ambience. This activity helped in developing their naturalistic, visual, fine motor and linguistic skills.
