Learning pre-Mathematics concepts is immensely important for young children. It makes them explore and develop an understanding of the world around them. It is a tool which we use in everyday life to sort, count, measure and analyse. Keeping this in view, the concept of “Full and Empty” was introduced to the children of Playgroup.
Some interactive activities were conducted to help the children understand the concept in a better way. Resources like a box full of balls, an empty box, a bottle full of water and an empty one and few more objects were used. The activities include, helping them to identify which cone is full and which one is empty. Another activity involved children to identify full and empty pictures by encircling them with coloured crayons. These activities enhanced their logical and fine motor skills.
