Teaching and learning becomes more interesting when done in a play-way method. Students of Class-I learnt about neighbourhood places through some interesting activities. At the beginning a discussion was held where students spoke about some of their neighbouring places. Many of the students were able to name few of their neighbourhood places.

This was followed by giving them picture cut-outs of places like Post Office, Bank, School, ATM etc. They pasted those in chart papers given to them in a beautiful way. Students were then asked to say a few lines on how these places are useful. This activity created awareness about the importance of neighbourhood places.

This learning was complemented by a recent visit to Craft Village, where students saw some neighbourhood places on the way. It helped students to understand the importance of neighbourhood in a better way. This trip and the activity helped in enhancing the naturalistic, linguistic, inter and intra personal skills of the students.
