Building Foundations: Step & Stroke Ignites Early Writing Mastery

Where Movement Meets Mastery in Pre-Writing Skills

“The first step to literacy begins not with a pen, but with curiosity in motion.”- Anonymous

At SAI Angan, we believe foundational skills are best nurtured through joy and creativity. Our Nursery learners recently embarked on an innovative journey to master the ‘standing line’—a cornerstone of early writing—through the dynamic Step & Stroke activity.

Children physically traced large standing lines on the floor, blending gross motor engagement with artistic expression. Armed with paintbrushes and vibrant poster colours, they translated their movements onto chart paper, refining both fine and gross motor coordination.

Learning Outcomes

. Motor Skill Development: Enhanced control over hand-eye coordination and muscle strength.
. Cognitive Growth: Introduction to spatial awareness and pattern recognition.
. Creative Expression: Fostered imagination through tactile and visual learning.

By merging movement, art, and education, SAI Angan transforms foundational learning into a lively adventure, setting the stage for lifelong literacy.
