“Tell me and I forget, teach me and I may remember, involve me and I learn.” – Benjamin Franklin
On March 3, the young learners of Play Group at SAI Angan embarked on a delightful journey of sensory exploration through a fun-filled texture learning activity. Engaging their sense of touch, they discovered the fascinating world of textures, making learning both interactive and exciting.
Hands-On Discovery with Texture Boards
Guided by their dedicated teachers, the little explorers created texture boards using materials such as velvet, sandpaper, cotton balls, and foil. As they walked on these textured surfaces, they experienced different sensations—hard, soft, rough, and smooth—enhancing their tactile perception and awareness of the world around them.
Balancing Fun and Learning
The excitement continued with a ball-balancing activity, where children focused on coordination and motor skills while having fun. This playful exercise not only improved their balance but also encouraged patience and perseverance.
