Students of Class – I were introduced to a new topic called Pronoun by reading out two stories. One with repetition of the Naming Words and the other using Pronouns. Then the teacher asked the students which story sounded better and why. The students said that the first story sounded monotonous while the second story was better. The teacher then explained them the difference between the two stories and the use of different pronouns like He, She, It, They, Them, etc.
Then the whole class was divided into four groups and given four different pictures pasted on chart papers. They were asked to write few sentences on each paper about the pictures using pronouns.
Later the students read the story “The Day Ria got Lost” in the content book and circled all the pronouns in the story. The class was excited to find out the pronouns in the story. Through these activities skills like linguistic, reasoning, intra personal and interpersonal were enhanced.
