Inside a human body, there are lot of organs and body parts. They all work together like a team to help us move, grow, breath etc.
Students of Class – III were taught that cell is the basic structure of human body and the structural and functional unit of life. Many cells join together to form a tissue and many tissues join together to form an organ. Many organs join together to form an organ system and all the organs systems work together to form an organism as whole. So, the concept is as follows cell →tissue → organ → organ system.
To get a deeper understanding, the students were divided into groups and each group was given a task of making an organ system. They were given chart papers and asked to create different organs with the help of cut outs. They made the cut-outs that are the real 2d shapes of all the organs and at the end they made it 3d structures with the help of thermocol to give it a real look.
All the groups started their task with cell and tissue and then each group made different organs for different type of organ systems like kidney for excretory system, lungs for respiratory system and stomach for digestive system. While doing the activity they learned about all the different organs, their shapes and where it fits in our body.
