IIM CASE STUDY

The Three States of Matter

The three states of matter are the three distinct physical forms that matter can take in most environment, they are solid, liquid and gases.

Children of KG-II were introduced to the liquid state of matter through several small activities. They got to know about the properties of liquid like it has no shape of its own and take the shape of the container and it can flow.

Children had a great time carrying out the experiments by pouring out water into different types of container and watching how it takes the shape of the container. For the young ones, it was a new way of understanding the properties of a liquid. These activities helped to enhance their naturalistic, visual and linguistic skills.
