“Everyone likes birds. What wild creature is more accessible to our eyes and ears, as close to us and everyone in the world, as universal as a bird?” – David Attenborough
Watching a bird fly is an amazing experience. The way the birds start their flight, flap their wings, soar up, obtain trust and gradually come down and land is all very intriguing.
The children of KG-I explored the world of various colorful and chirpy birds through an interesting activity. Through a Power Point Presentation, the little ones were briefed about the physical features of the bird like beaks, claws, wings, feathers as well as on the various kinds of sound they make. They also learnt about different kinds of beaks, feathers, claws etc. Students were amazed to see the various colorful and vibrant birds.
In an activity the students made colorful birds from various cutouts and filled those with colorful thumb prints. They even dressed up and flapped their hands like the wings of birds. It was a brilliant informative experience for the children which also helped in enhancing their intra-inter personal, visual, fine motor and naturalistic skills.
