“Every child is an artist. The problem is how to remain an artist once we grow up.” – Pablo Picasso
On 16th July 2024, SAI Angan hosted the ‘Patchwork Picassos’ competition, sparking a burst of creativity among KG I students. The young artists showcased their beautiful artwork using tear-and-paste techniques to decorate popsicles with various hues. This activity highlighted their patience, precision, and unique artistic visions, emphasizing the development of fine motor skills and eye-hand coordination.
The excitement was palpable as the children diligently tore and pasted colorful paper, each creation a testament to their burgeoning artistic abilities. The vibrant popsicles reflected not just their artistic talents but also their ability to focus and execute detailed work.
The ‘Patchwork Picassos’ competition at SAI Angan was more than just an art activity; it was an opportunity for children to develop essential skills and express their individuality. As they proudly displayed their work, it was clear that these young artists had learned much more than just how to create beautiful pieces—they had discovered the joy of creativity and the satisfaction of seeing their visions come to life.
