Colours are a vibrant introduction to the children as they can visualise the colours but can’t differentiate or recognise a single colour at a time. While playing with colourful things children not only enjoy but learn a lot and come to know about the primary colours of nature. Colours stimulate learning, concentration, moods and behaviour. In Playgroup, the children are introduced to two basic colours (Red and Blue) through various activities. For introducing red colour, children were asked to paste bindis on a lady bug mask and also to act as lady bugs. This enhanced their eye hand co-ordination and kinesthetic skills. To introduce Blue colour, children were asked to paint on the cloud cut-outs provided to them in order to improve fine motor and naturalistic skills.
