Trees are important for this world as they give us oxygen, stabilize the soil, provide wood for building and pulp for making paper. They also provide habitat for all sorts of insects, birds, and other small animals. Trees give us fruits and nuts like apples, oranges, walnuts, pears, peaches etc. It also keeps our environment clean and our eco system healthy. The children of KG-II were made aware of the importance of trees through a small activity. The little ones were shown a set of things like pencil, eraser, cotton balls, wooden duster, paper and medicines and were told that the source of these objects are trees. They also prepared a tree with the help of an outline of a tree canopy and trunk. Students were asked to color and stick pictures on it of the various things that we get from trees. The activity was thoroughly enjoyed by the children.
