“Education is not the learning of facts but the learning of the mind to think”. – Albert Einstein
Spatial relation refers to how objects are located in relation to a referred object. Reasoning with spatial relation makes it possible to create spatial images and to manipulate them in the course of solving practical and theoretical problems in mathematics.
The students of Class I took part in a wonderful group activity outside the classroom on the topic “Spatial Relations”. It contributed to their ability to mentally visualize and understand “Spatial Relations”. The students were able to identify the type of relations based on the situation, wherein they could understand the proper usage of words like above, below, in between, under, over, near, far, top, bottom etc. The children enjoyed the activity thoroughly which helped in developing their logical, naturalistic, linguistic and visual intelligence.
