“To dance is to be out of yourself. Larger, more beautiful, more powerful… This is power, it is glory on earth, and it is yours for the taking”. – Agnes De Mille
Dance allows you to express a wide variety of emotions. The way you dance can express happiness, excitement, and passion but also aggression and anger.
The Rhythm Club Members of Class III performed the Shiv Tandav on the eve of Maha Shivratri. Tandavam (also known as Tandava Natyam) is a divine dance performed by the Hindu god Shiva. Shiva’s Tandava is described as a vigorous dance that is the source of the cycle of creation, preservation and dissolution. The performers dressed up as Lord Shiva attires looked graceful and danced with great energy. The enthusiastic audience encouraged the dancers with great round of applause. This was a grand closer of the Club performances of this session.
