Let’s Learn Directions and Positions

“Education is not the filling of a pail, but the lighting of a fire.” ~ William Butler Yeats

Learning direction and positional words through storytelling is an excellent way of making learning interesting. It promotes brain development, imagination, develops language and emotions and makes learning exciting

The young listeners of KG-I learnt different directions and positional words like left, right, on, under, next to, behind etc. by listening to the story Grandma’s Glasses. Learning became more fun when children were pretending to find different things by going to different positions and holding things.

This activity thus enhanced their linguistic, listening, kinesthetic and visual skills.
