“Communication- the human connection- is the key to personal and career success.”- Paul J. Meyer
Writing skill is very important as it is the primary basis upon which one’s work, learning and intellect will be judged. Therefore, conversations are the key to language development. It enhances an individual by exchange of thoughts, ideas as well as listening to each other. Writing aims to capture a thought or idea, to transfer it to a permanent format, making it tangible. It helps you move easily among facts, inferences, and opinions without getting confused and without confusing your reader.
Conversation skill is essential in order to deliver and understand information quickly and accurately. Being able to communicate effectively is a vital life skill and should not be overlooked. But thereby writing is equally important. It makes our thinking and learning visible and permanent. Writing equips us with communication and thinking skills. So, the debating concluded with the interpretation that both writing skill and communication skill are important as they go hand by hand. They together enhance an individual’s personal aptitude.
The students of Class I, II and III were very excited to present their views on the given topic. Some spoke their heart out in favour of the importance of writing skills while some put forth their views on conversation skills. It was a pleasure to see the little ones in such an active mood and the session ended with the conclusion that what truly stands apart is the communication skill, which includes both writing and conversation skills.
